Shu Yu + Raphael | Teaser

On Saturday, I had the honor of filming Shu Yu and Raphael’s beautiful wedding at The Shrine of Saint Anthony in Ellicott City! This was my first time here and I was blown away. They had the most beautiful, intimate day that honored both of their cultures (Shu Yu is from Singapore and Raphael is from the Philippines). They had family and friends from all over the world and amazing food from each of their countries. It is a part of my job that I love so much- celebrating love stories from around the world! They had the most gorgeous reception with @sarajonesjazz on piano and vocals while guest chatted and ate delicious meals over candlelight 😍😍 I loved working with @mk_photo_dmv - it’s a nice change of pace to shoot a small wedding where just the two of us were there to capture it. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

My last wedding of the year did not disappoint!! I was nervous when I heard we were leaving for a bit of the reception for a hair dye— but I have to say, being along for the ride for this wedding day was one of the most fun experiences of the year. I loved being with this close knit family and was blown away by Victoria’s attention to detail (she is an artist and graphic designer and every bit of her wedding showed how talented she is!). Her sister, Liz, doubled as coordinator/MC/ and brought her “camp counselor energy” to have the most efficient table photos I’ve seen to date 😂 the whole day was a blast and I am so grateful to be been trusted to capture it!

A very small taste of the most perfect day ever. My beautiful little sister @bking24 married my new brother @m.b4der ! She used her vision and creativity to create the most picturesque wedding day at the @thewinslowbaltimore and I was thrilled to be a part of it! It's always a family affair at our family weddings- My aunt and uncle are lifelong photographers (Bill Rettberg photography), shooting along side of our dear family friend @maryeotterphotography and my brother @skykingmusic provided ceremony music and our good friend @jonzornmusic provided cocktail hour music.

@sly45band was absolutely amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor all night!!

And shout out to @poshbridalmd for the most beautiful and unique wedding dress I've seen- perfect for the most beautiful bride!!

And my absolute favorite makeup artist and esthetician @gina.mariebeauty took such good care of us- from@the facial to the engagement shoot to skin care tips, we were all ready to look our best and our makeup held up flawlessly all night!!

And @mbmbeauty_dmv - Bethany and Abigail did an AMAZING job!! Look at that bride!! We all loved our looks!!

And maybe the most important person of all- Mary Tawney with @copperkitchenmd executed Blair’s vision flawlessly and kept everything organized! It was a big job and she was amazing. And nothing beats @copperkitchenmd food!!
